# Map your locations to their listings

> Link each of your Liftify locations to the matching Google listing so reviews sync to the right place.

Once your Google account is connected, Liftify has a pool of imported business listings — but it doesn't yet know which listing belongs to which of your locations. Mapping is where you tell it. Do this right after [connecting Google](connect-google-business-profile.md), and again whenever you open a new location. Until a location is mapped, its Google reviews don't sync into Liftify.

## Read the table

**Settings → Integrations → Google** shows one row per location in your account, with four columns:

| Column | What it tells you |
| ------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Location** | Your Liftify location name and address. |
| **Mapped Google Listing** | The Google listing this location is linked to — or a **Map Listing** button if it isn't linked yet. |
| **Status** | **Connected**, **Reconnect needed**, or **Not Mapped**. |
| **Added By** | Who set up the mapping. **Liftify** means our team set it up for you. |

If any locations still need mapping, a red banner sits above the table: **"3 Locations have not been mapped."** The count covers all of your locations, not just the ones on screen.

## Map a location

1. Go to **Settings → Integrations → Google**.
2. Find the location you want to link. Unmapped rows show a **Map Listing** button in the **Mapped Google Listing** column. (The same action is on the row's **⋮** menu at the far right, as **Map listing**.)
3. Click **Map Listing**. The **Map Google Listing** window opens.
4. Under **Unmapped listings** you'll see the imported listings that aren't linked to a location yet. Pick the one that matches, or type at least two characters in **Search by business name or address…** to narrow the list.
5. Click the listing. The list collapses and the listing you chose appears in a card at the bottom of the window. To change your mind, click the **X** on that card and pick a different one.
6. Click **Map Listing** at the bottom of the window. The button stays greyed out until you've selected a listing.

The page reloads and confirms with **"Mapped to Downtown Shop."**, using your location's name. The row now shows the Google listing's name and address, and the **Status** changes to **Connected**.

Repeat for each location. To see only what's left, use the **Status** filter and choose **Not Mapped**.

Reviews for a newly mapped location don't appear instantly — Liftify pulls in the listing's review history in the background shortly after you map it.

## Find the right row quickly

Above the table are filters you can combine:

* **Status** — **All statuses**, **Connected**, or **Not Mapped**.
* **Location** — pick specific locations, or **All Locations**.
* **Custom** — filter on your own custom location fields.
* The search icon — click it, type a location name in **Search locations...**, and press Enter.

Once any filter is on, an **X** button appears alongside the filters to clear them all at once. If nothing matches, you'll see **"No locations found — No locations match your filters."**

## Change or remove a mapping

Open the **⋮** menu at the right of a mapped row:

* **Remap** — link the location to a different Google listing. You'll be asked to confirm first, because remapping **permanently deletes all reviews currently synced to this location** and can't be undone. After you confirm, the same **Map Google Listing** window opens so you can pick the new listing.
* **Unmap** — remove the link entirely. This also asks you to confirm, and it too **permanently deletes all reviews synced to this location**. Afterwards you'll see **"Listing unmapped. Its synced reviews have been deleted."** and the row goes back to **Not Mapped**.
* **View on Google** — opens the mapped listing on Google in a new tab. Handy for double-checking you picked the right business before you rely on it.

Only remap or unmap when the mapping is genuinely wrong. Fixing a mapping means the review history for that location is re-pulled from Google from scratch.

## Troubleshooting

### The listing I need isn't in the list

The window only offers listings that are imported and **not already linked to another location** — each Google listing can be mapped to one location at a time. If yours isn't there:

* It may already be mapped to a different location. Search the table for the listing name; if you find it, unmap it there first, or remap that row instead.
* It may not have been imported yet. Click **Re-sync listings** on your Google connection card at the top of the page, then try again.
* It may belong to a Google account you haven't connected — the window shows listings from *your own* connections only. Connect that account, or ask the colleague who connected it to do the mapping.

Also note the list shows a first batch of your unmapped listings; if you have a lot of them, search by name or address instead of scrolling.

### "No results found"

Your search didn't match any unmapped listing by business name or address. Try a shorter or different search — for example just the street name, or the city — or clear the box to see the full list again.

### The row says "Managed by Liftify" and Remap / Unmap are greyed out

That location's listing was set up by the Liftify team rather than through a self-serve connection, so it's read-only for your account. Contact Liftify support if it needs to change.

### The status says "Reconnect needed"

The location is mapped, but the Google connection behind it has stopped working, so reviews aren't syncing. Don't unmap the location — scroll to the connection card at the top of the page and click **Reconnect**, signing in with the same Google account. See [Connect your Google Business Profile](connect-google-business-profile.md).

### A location is missing from the table entirely

Two common reasons:

* Locations aren't created on this page. If a location doesn't exist in Liftify yet, it can't be mapped — contact Liftify support to have it added.
* Your access may be limited to certain locations. If your Liftify user is restricted to a subset of locations, only those appear here. Ask someone with access to all locations to map the rest.

If the table shows **"No locations yet — Locations will appear here once they are added."**, there are no locations in your account for you to map.

### "That listing isn't available to you."

The listing you tried to map isn't one of your own connection's listings — usually because the page was left open while something changed, such as the listing being mapped elsewhere or the connection being removed. Refresh the page and try again.
