# Update your profile

> Change your name, email, phone, job title, timezone and starting account, and find your notification settings.

Your profile holds the details Liftify uses for you personally — your name, how to reach you, your timezone, and which account you land in when you sign in. Everyone with portal access can edit their own profile; it isn't controlled by your role.

## Open your profile

1. In the left sidebar, click the circle with your initials.
2. Click **User Settings**.

You land on the **Profile** page. The menu on the left has a **User** section with **Profile** and **Notifications** in it. To go back to the rest of the portal, click **Exit Settings** at the top of that menu.

## What you can change

| Field               | Notes                                                                                      |
| ------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **First Name**      | Required.                                                                                  |
| **Last Name**       | Required.                                                                                  |
| **Email**           | Required. This is also the address you sign in with.                                       |
| **Phone**           | Optional.                                                                                  |
| **Job Title**       | Optional.                                                                                  |
| **Timezone**        | Required. Pick from the list — it starts on **Select a timezone** if you've never set one. |
| **Primary Account** | Only appears if you have access to more than one account.                                  |

When you're done, click **Save Changes**. You'll see **"Profile updated successfully."**

### Changing your email

As soon as you edit the **Email** field, a warning appears: **"Changing your email will also change the email used to log in."** Make sure the new address is one you can actually receive mail at — sign-in links go there.

### Primary Account

If you have access to more than one Liftify account, **Primary Account** decides which one you land in after signing in. The page explains it as: *"The account you'll land in when you sign in. You can still switch accounts anytime from the sidebar."*

## Notification settings

Your notification preferences live on their own page. In the settings menu, under **User**, click **Notifications**.

## Sign out

Click the circle with your initials in the left sidebar, then click **Sign Out**.
