Two places control when your campaigns are allowed to message people: the Settings step inside each campaign, and Settings → Campaigns for the whole account. This page covers both and how they fit together.

Inside a campaign

Open the campaign builder and go to the Settings step.

Sending Days

A checkbox for each day: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun. Only the ticked days may carry a message. If a message comes due on a day you haven’t ticked, it is not skipped — it moves to the next day that is ticked, and the touchpoints after it shift along with it. A three-message sequence never loses a message because of a day you turned off; it just takes longer to finish. At least one day must be ticked or the campaign cannot launch: “At least one sending day must be selected”.

Sending Time Range

Send Start Time and Send End Time set the hours a message may go out. A new campaign starts at 09:00 to 21:00. These times are read in the customer’s location’s local time zone, not yours. A campaign running in two time zones sends inside each location’s own window. A message that becomes due outside the window waits and goes out when the window next opens — at the start time on the next allowed day. Nothing is dropped. The start must be earlier than the end. If it isn’t, the launch is blocked with “Send start time must be before send end time”, and the fields show “Send start time is required” or “Send end time is required” if you leave one blank.

Send Immediately

A checkbox with the explanation printed next to it:
Bypass the sending queue and deliver touchpoints as soon as they are created. Sending days and time range above are ignored when this is enabled.
Tick it and the day checkboxes and time boxes above grey out — they no longer apply. Untick it and they come back. This is the setting for messages that only make sense right now: a “we’re on our way” text, a confirmation, an alert. Anything that can wait until morning should leave it off, because with it on a message created at 11pm goes out at 11pm.

Overriding the window for one message

A single touchpoint can ignore the window without changing the whole campaign. In the touchpoint’s own form, tick Ignore sending hours. That touchpoint’s card then carries a Sends any time badge so you can see at a glance which messages are exempt.

Campaign Exclusion Time (days)

“Days before customer can re-enter this campaign.” This is how long a customer who has finished this campaign is kept out of it. A new campaign starts at 180 days. Setting it to 0 raises a warning in the app worth reading in full:
Exclusion of 0 days means a customer who just completed this campaign can be re-enrolled immediately. Use 0 only when each enrollment is driven by a fresh customer action, for example, a “your table is ready” message that should fire each time a customer visits. Avoid 0 if any entry rule triggers on a campaign completion event (e.g. goal not met), since that creates a loop where the customer receives the campaign repeatedly until they unsubscribe.

Max Customers From CSV Per Location Per Day

A cap on how many customers one uploaded list may push into this campaign, per location, per day. When a day’s cap is reached, the rest wait for the next allowed sending day rather than going out in one burst.

Account-wide settings

Settings → Campaigns holds three settings that apply across your whole account. Click Save Changes when you’re done.

Touchpoints

“Customer touchpoints will be sent on the following days of the week” — a checkbox per day, Monday through Sunday. These are your account’s default sending days. When you create a new campaign, its Sending Days are copied from here as a starting point.
Copied, not linked. Changing the account days later does not change campaigns that already exist. To change an existing campaign’s days, edit that campaign’s Settings step.

Exclusion Time

Number of Days. “Customers will be excluded from campaigns if they have received one within this timeframe.” This is the account-wide floor on message frequency: a customer who received any campaign within this many days is not enrolled in another one.

Campaign Type Exclusion Time

Number of Days. “Customers will be excluded from campaigns of the same type if they have received one within this timeframe.” The same idea, narrowed to one campaign type. Two Promotional campaigns compete under this window; a Promotional and a Transactional campaign do not. See Campaign types explained.

How the three exclusion windows work together

Before a customer is enrolled in a campaign, Liftify checks three things in order. The first one that blocks stops the enrollment — the others aren’t even checked.
  1. Has this customer had this exact campaign recently? Uses the campaign’s own Campaign Exclusion Time (days).
  2. Has this customer had a campaign of this type recently? Uses the account’s Campaign Type Exclusion Time.
  3. Has this customer had any campaign at all recently? Uses the account’s Exclusion Time.
They stack rather than override each other, so the effective gap between two messages to the same person is whichever window is longest. If customers you expect to be enrolled are not being enrolled, these three settings are the first place to look. A setting of 0 turns that level off.

Troubleshooting

Messages are going out later than I expect. Check three things in order: the campaign’s Sending Days (a day you turned off pushes the message to the next ticked day), the Sending Time Range (a message due before the start time waits for it), and the fact that the window is read in the location’s time zone, not yours. Messages went out at an hour I didn’t want. Either Send Immediately is ticked on the campaign’s Settings step, or that particular touchpoint has Ignore sending hours ticked — look for the Sends any time badge on its card. The campaign won’t launch and the Settings step shows a gold dot. You have no sending day ticked, a missing start or end time, a start time that isn’t earlier than the end time, or a Reply-To Email Override that isn’t a valid address. Clicking Launch Campaign lists exactly what’s missing. These checks are skipped when Send Immediately is on. Customers aren’t being enrolled at all. Work through the three exclusion windows above, then check whether Prevent Campaign Collision is on for this campaign — it blocks anyone already enrolled in another active campaign.
