Every connected Google or Facebook account appears as a card at the top of its connections screen — Settings → Integrations → Google or Settings → Integrations → Facebook. The buttons on that card are how you keep the connection healthy. Which buttons you see depends on the state of the connection: You need a role with the Manage external review listings (Google, Facebook, etc.) permission to use any of them. You only see, and can only act on, the accounts you connected.

Re-sync listings

Use Re-sync listings when you’ve added a location or Page at Google or Facebook and it hasn’t shown up in Liftify. It re-imports the listings for that account without making you sign in again. Click it and you’ll see a message confirming the re-import has started. It runs in the background; the page updates when it finishes. Listings you’ve already linked to locations are left alone, so re-syncing is safe to do any time.
New listings created at Google or Facebook after you connected are only picked up on a re-sync. If something is missing, this is the first thing to try — not disconnecting.

Reconnect

A connection can stop working on its own: someone changed the password, removed Liftify’s access at Google or Facebook, or the permission simply expired. Facebook access expires on its own schedule and can’t be renewed quietly in the background, so Facebook connections need reconnecting more often than Google ones. When that happens:
  • The connection card shows a Needs reconnect badge and a Reconnect button.
  • Every location relying on that connection shows Reconnect needed in the Status column of the table below.
  • Reviews for those locations stop syncing until it’s fixed.
To fix it, click Reconnect and sign in again.
Sign in with the same account you originally connected. Liftify matches the account you sign in with; signing in with a different one creates a second, separate connection and leaves the original still broken.
Reconnecting keeps everything in place — your listings stay linked to their locations and your synced reviews are untouched. You don’t have to map anything again. Don’t unmap a location that says Reconnect needed. The link is fine; it’s the connection behind it that needs attention, and unmapping would delete that location’s synced reviews for nothing.

Re-syncing won’t fix an expired connection

If you click Re-sync listings on a connection whose access has died, nothing is imported — the card simply flips to Needs reconnect. That’s the signal to use Reconnect instead.

Disconnect

Disconnect removes the account from Liftify. You’ll be asked to confirm first.
Disconnecting deletes more than the connection. The listings imported through that account, the links between those listings and your locations, and the reviews that were synced through them are all permanently deleted along with it. This can’t be undone. You can connect the account again afterwards and re-import your listings, but you will have to link each location to its listing again, and the review history that had been synced is not restored.
So disconnect only when you genuinely want that account gone — for example when it belonged to someone who has left, or you connected the wrong account by mistake. For everything else there’s a better button:
  • Listings missing? Use Re-sync listings.
  • Connection broken? Use Reconnect.
  • Wrong listing linked to a location? Use Remap on that location’s menu.

Disconnecting the wrong account by mistake

If you disconnect an account you still need, reconnect it straight away and re-import the listings, then link your locations again. Reviews sync again from that point. If review history matters to you, contact Liftify support before you do anything else.

Troubleshooting

The card shows “Needs reconnect” again a few days after I fixed it

That points at something on the provider’s side ending Liftify’s access repeatedly — a revoked permission, a password change, or an account that has lost access to the Pages or listings. Check Liftify’s access at Google or Facebook with the account you’re connecting, then reconnect once more.

I reconnected but the locations still say “Reconnect needed”

You probably signed in with a different account than the one originally connected. Look at the cards at the top of the page: if there are now two, the new one is a separate connection. Reconnect the original card, signing in with the account named on it.

I don’t see any buttons on the card

Your role is missing the Manage external review listings (Google, Facebook, etc.) permission. Ask whoever manages roles in your account to add it.

A colleague’s connection needs reconnecting

You can only manage connections you made yourself. Ask the colleague named in the Added By column of the table to sign in and reconnect it.
