Before you start
- Sign in to Google with the account that already manages your Business Profile locations. Liftify can only import listings that account has access to.
- Your Liftify role needs the Manage external review listings (Google, Facebook, etc.) permission. Without it, Google won’t appear in your Settings menu.
Connect your account
- In the left sidebar, click Settings.
- In the Settings menu, under Integrations, click Google.
- Click Connect to Google in the top right of the page.
- You’ll be taken to Google. Sign in with the account that manages your business listings and allow Liftify to manage your Business Profile when Google asks.
- Google sends you back to Liftify. You’ll see the message “Connected to Google. We’re importing your business listings now.”
Connecting more than one Google account
If your listings are spread across several Google accounts, click Connect to Google again and sign in with the other account. Each connected account gets its own card, and small circles at the top of the page show the accounts that are connected. Connections belong to the person who made them. On this page you see the Google accounts you connected — not ones connected by your colleagues. Locations they’ve already linked still show in the table below, with their name in the Added By column.Managing a connection
Each connection card has its own buttons:- Re-sync listings — re-imports the listings for that Google account. Use this after you add a new location in Google, or if a listing you expected is missing. You’ll see “Re-importing your Google listings now.” and, as with the first import, the page updates when it’s done.
- Reconnect — appears only when a connection has stopped working (see below).
- Disconnect — removes the Google account from Liftify.
What Disconnect does
Disconnecting removes the connection along with anything mapped from it: the listings linked to your locations and the Google reviews that were synced through them are deleted. You can connect the account again afterwards and re-import your listings, but the review history that was synced is not restored. Only disconnect if you genuinely want to remove that Google account. If you just want to refresh what’s imported, use Re-sync listings instead.Troubleshooting
The card says “Needs reconnect”
Google access expires or gets revoked — for example if the password changed, access was removed at Google, or the permission was withdrawn. When that happens the card shows a Needs reconnect badge and a Reconnect button, and any locations relying on that connection show Reconnect needed in the table’s Status column. Click Reconnect and sign in again with the same Google account. Liftify re-links your existing listings to the refreshed connection — you don’t have to map your locations again.”That Google account is already connected.”
You’ve signed in with a Google account you had already connected. No harm done: the existing connection is refreshed. If you meant to add a different account, click Connect to Google again and pick the other account at Google’s sign-in screen.”Failed to connect to Google My Business”
Something interrupted the handoff between Google and Liftify — most often a stale or bookmarked link, or a session that timed out part-way through. Go back to Settings → Integrations → Google and click Connect to Google again, starting fresh from that page rather than from a saved link. The page says “No Google account connected yet.”
This is the empty state — “No Google account connected yet. Connect one to import your business listings.” It just means no connection exists yet. Click Connect to Google.A listing is missing after connecting
The import only brings in listings the Google account you signed in with can manage. If something is missing:- Click Re-sync listings on the connection card — new listings added at Google after you connected are only picked up on a re-sync.
- Check at Google that the account you connected really does have access to that business. If it doesn’t, connect the account that does.
