Connecting Facebook brings your Facebook Page recommendations into Liftify, alongside your Google reviews. You sign in with the Facebook account that manages your Pages, Liftify imports the Pages that account can manage, and then you link each Page to the matching Liftify location. The screen works exactly like the Google one, so if you’ve already connected Google this will feel familiar.

Before you start

  • Sign in to Facebook with an account that manages your business Pages. Liftify can only import Pages that account can manage.
  • Your Liftify role needs the Manage external review listings (Google, Facebook, etc.) permission. Without it, Facebook won’t appear in your Settings menu.

Connect your account

  1. In the left sidebar, click Settings.
  2. In the Settings menu, under Integrations, click Facebook.
  3. Click Connect to Facebook in the top right of the page.
  4. Sign in at Facebook and allow the permissions it asks for. Liftify asks to see the list of Pages you manage, and to read and reply to activity on them — that’s what makes recommendations sync and replies possible.
  5. Facebook sends you back to Liftify, with the message “Connected to Facebook. We’re importing your business listings now.”
Your connected account appears as a card showing a Connected badge, the Facebook account it belongs to, and a count such as “4 listings · 0 mapped”. The import runs in the background. Stay on the page and it updates on its own when the Pages finish importing. Importing gives Liftify a pool of Pages; it doesn’t yet know which Page belongs to which location. Until a location is linked, its recommendations don’t sync.
  1. Below the connection card is a table with one row per location.
  2. Find a location without a link and click Map Listing. The Map Facebook Listing window opens.
  3. Under Unmapped listings, pick the Page that matches, or type at least two characters in Search by business name or address… to narrow the list.
  4. Click the Page, then click Map Listing at the bottom of the window.
The row’s Status changes to Connected. Recommendations for that Page are pulled in shortly afterwards, in the background. The table, filters, and the row menu behave the same as on the Google screen — including Remap, Unmap, and View on Facebook. For the detail, see Map your locations to their listings.
Remap and Unmap permanently delete the reviews already synced to that location. Only use them when a link is genuinely wrong.

What you can and can’t do with Facebook reviews

Facebook and Google don’t offer the same things, so Liftify can’t either.
On a Facebook recommendation you can post a reply, once. You cannot edit that reply afterwards, and you cannot delete it. Facebook doesn’t allow either.
Because of that, treat a Facebook reply as final — read it back before you post it. On Google you can revise a reply after posting; on Facebook you can’t. Replying is also only possible on recommendations that came in through this connection. If reviews for a Page were collected another way, they’ll be visible in Liftify but there’ll be nothing to reply to.

Connecting more than one Facebook account

If your Pages are spread across several Facebook accounts, click Connect to Facebook again and sign in with the other one. Each account gets its own card. Connections belong to the person who made them. You see the Facebook accounts you connected — not ones connected by colleagues. Locations they’ve already linked still appear in the table, with their name in the Added By column.

Troubleshooting

”Failed to connect to Facebook”

Something interrupted the handoff between Facebook and Liftify — often a bookmarked link or a session that timed out part-way through. Go back to Settings → Integrations → Facebook and click Connect to Facebook again, starting from that page rather than a saved link.

”That Facebook account is already connected.”

You signed in with an account you’d already connected. Nothing is broken — the existing connection is refreshed. To add a different account, click Connect to Facebook again and switch accounts at Facebook’s sign-in screen.

A Page is missing after connecting

Liftify only imports Pages the account you signed in with can manage. Either click Re-sync listings on the connection card to pick up Pages added since you connected, or check at Facebook that the account really does manage that Page.

The page says “No Facebook account connected yet.”

No connection exists yet — that’s the empty state. Click Connect to Facebook.

”Facebook” isn’t in my Settings menu

Your role doesn’t include the Manage external review listings (Google, Facebook, etc.) permission. Ask whoever manages roles in your account to add it, or have a colleague who already has it make the connection.
